SuperCook is one of the most interesting and exciting projects dedicated to the food theme that I’ve seen in along (and I mean long), time. SuperCook don’t just execute searches on recipes, it searches for recipes that you can execute with the ingredients you have at your own place at that time.

You can manage your recipes, ingredients lists, and so many other things. Besides all this, SuperCook also divides the search results onto three main categories (starters, entrées and deserts) and provides great advice on ingredients you should by in order to increase significantly your “doable” recipes list.

TwitterFeed is a free online service that allows you to twitter automatically onto your Twitter account. You may think that this isn’t something new and that, for example TwitterPress plugin (for Wordpress) does exactly the same. The big and important difference is that TwitterFeed can send any RSS or Atom feed to your Twitter account.

All you have to do is:

1) Create a Twitter account (seems obvious);
2) Login into TwitterFeed with your OpenID;
3) Define which RSS or Atom feeds will feed your Twitter account.

Easy enough?.

Visible Body is probably one of the most interesting, important and well developed projects I’ve seen lately. It is, I guess, the best free virtual anatomy browser I came across on the web. Very complete, I suppose, and created to be used by professionals and regular users like me. It seems to allow users to search and locate anatomical structures by using text-search, layer observation, hiding, etc. Judging by the help videos and tutorials it’s, in fact amazing, but honestly… I can only imagine.

I can only imagine because Visible Body, tough built for every type of user, wasn’t unfortunately built for every type of operating system and every browser. Get an MS Windows (XP or Vista) copy and IE if you want to take advantage of what the project has to offer.

Hero-o-Matic is a project developed by Eduardo Reis that allows you to build the Super-Hero that lives inside you (not literally I hope). The site has a great look, very “comics”, exceptional good-taste and more options than Windows.

There are more than 200 items to be personalized! Clearly inspired on HeroMachine but with a personality of it’s own. The only problem for you English speakers out there is that the site is only available in Portuguese. Anyway, if you really want to try this great app click on the bottom-right link that says “Criar!!!” (In red. You can’t miss it).

MeBeam is a free service that allows you to get your hands on all the advantages of video conference. The service stronger point is, imho, the simple, clean and fast delivery of what we look for on the every day video conference: easy communication. All you have to do is to turn your webcam and microphone on, choose a name for your video conference room and… well, that’s it! The invitation process is accomplished by sending the conference room URL to your friends or colleagues. Security’s not the strong point here. Easy and fast every day need communication is!
