I present you a list of 31 references to several hundreds of excellent Wordpress themes that I’m sure you’ll want to bookmark!

The post title results from a straight sum of the values present on each of the references. Most naturally several themes - the best ones - are mentioned on more than one post or article.

References have been chosen according to my recognition of authority to the mentioned sources. There may be more, there may be others but the ones bellow are the ones I personally consider meaningful.

As usual, someone took the task of gathering, organizing and making available a huge amount of graphical resources for Valentine’s Day. Icons, vectorial images, Photoshop styles and brushes, Wordpress and Blogger themes, Powerpoint templates, screensavers and, why not, wallpapers. All of them with a direct connection with Valentine’s Day.

The effort was developed by Diego Mattei, a great blogger from Argentina that got mad at me because I accused him of having too much time on his hands (just a joke of course).

TwitterFeed is a free online service that allows you to twitter automatically onto your Twitter account. You may think that this isn’t something new and that, for example TwitterPress plugin (for Wordpress) does exactly the same. The big and important difference is that TwitterFeed can send any RSS or Atom feed to your Twitter account.

All you have to do is:

1) Create a Twitter account (seems obvious);
2) Login into TwitterFeed with your OpenID;
3) Define which RSS or Atom feeds will feed your Twitter account.

Easy enough?.

Pluginmeter is a website with a dubious utility but still (considering human love and attraction for tops, lists and statistics) worth the reference.

The service crawls the web looking for Wordpress installations indexing a list of the most used plugins in the planet. Nation specific tops are also available.

Last time I visited the site, this was the Top10 for Worpress plugins:

Hyplet seems to be committed in giving a new breath to online signatures. This free service allows you to create small blocks that represent your online personality and where you can place such info as your IM address, you blog or website, e-mail address, del.icio.us account link and so many other options. If you have an account somewhere an you wish to share it with the world, Hyplet is your thing.

The configuration process couldn’t be simpler. Choose the block dimension and general appearance, edit some quick aspects, insert all the data you need and you’re ready to go. After this, all you need to do is to spread the love by inserting your Hyplet on your e-mail messages, social network profiles, etc.

You don’t need to register yourself to get your hands on the applet/widget configuration but you’ll need a login to get full use of the service.

With an already published (January 3rd) list of the most influential blogs in Europe, Wikio now publishes a list with the 20 most influential blogs in the planet, better yet, a planet that doesn’t include Asia. Nevertheless you can find the crème-de-la-crème on this list of well known and (truly) excellent blogs. I must call you attention for the Spanish blog listed in the 13th place (Microsiervos) and the German blog, Basic Thinking, that got the 18th spot in the list. The 10th placed conquered by the Techcrunch’s French version doesn’t present a big surprise and also very normal is the fact that 17 out of 20 blogs are “Made in USA”.
