Adam Woodhouse, published some great posts recently. Three posts that count for more than 2000 Photoshop brushes.

On a first post, published on January 16, you can get your hands on 42 sets (more than 2000 brushes). A second post, just four days later, places 22 Web 2.0 style brushes for download. Finally, about a month ago, a third post finishes the series by making available 166 brushes of graffiti style letters with lots of variations.

PhotoRee is a new website dedicated on bringing high quality photos to you screen. The service is based on a recommendation system that gathers your preferences so it can deliver the right photos. You must classify at least 100 photos before PhotoRee has enough on you to build a profile.

From what I could understand, PhotoRee goes trough Flickr favorites list but other sources are being considered (e.g.: Zooomr e Ipernity).

Not counting porn “YouTubes” and MP3 search engines, torrent search is probably the kind of project we most see on “web news”. But not all of them or even a good share of them, are good enough to stay on the scene. Still, a few, are truly great. Following YouTorrent’s footsteps, this PizzaTorrent - great name btw - made the news and I bet it will stay available for more than a while.

PizzaTorrent - did I mentioned it’s a great name - stood still on the Ajax exemplar use and added a brilliant and most useful categorized results delivery to the package. Fast serving of hot and well sliced pieces of results right to your screen is what you get.

Last February 7, FastLadder team released the Open-source version for this great RSS reader. OpenFL, name by which this open version is now known, is available for Windows, Mac and Linux. Integrated search, sorting system and a whole lot of options are for sure good enough reasons for you to try FastLadder.

A demo-like version is available so you can make your own judgement. Take a chance! You’ll never know when it’s time to put that Google Reader back on the shelf.

Twittermeter is a very interesting tool for measuring and comparing the Twitter buzz around a specific word. The site delivers results on the number of times a word has been mentioned on Twitter’s public timeline since July last year.

To compare two or more terms insert a blank space between them.

Noupe published an excellent and very long list of 73 great graphic headers. You’ll get a bit of everything on this amazing selection. Yet - thankfully - no 2.0 reflections made the list and each and every one of the choices are examples of “near perfect” illustration technique.

If you, like me, are a map lover, then this post is definitely for you. The French, - sorry about that - website that I want to introduce you to, makes available more than two hundred ancient sea charts (used by sailors) and some other, also very interesting, maps.

Though image dimensions don’t allow an amazing adventure through the “world of fantastic printing”, 2048/nnnnpx, is still a very nice size tp start from.

Maplecroft has made available a fantastic global interactive maps collection, in which a tremendous amount of data illustrates more than 40 different themes. From hunger to pollution, from child labor to health or safety, this maps are an amazing source of information.

Navigation is extremely simple, data observation is as fast as placing your mouse over the map.

As usual, someone took the task of gathering, organizing and making available a huge amount of graphical resources for Valentine’s Day. Icons, vectorial images, Photoshop styles and brushes, Wordpress and Blogger themes, Powerpoint templates, screensavers and, why not, wallpapers. All of them with a direct connection with Valentine’s Day.

The effort was developed by Diego Mattei, a great blogger from Argentina that got mad at me because I accused him of having too much time on his hands (just a joke of course).

Do you remember all those “Hot-or-Not” websites where you vote was - usually - disputed by two young ladies with a no puritanism policy? Well now you get the same exciting feeling but instead of girls (and boys) you get to vote between great web design examples. Command+Shift+3 is exactly that.
