The “Atmospheric Pollution” project, developed by DreamAddictiveLab (Carmen Gonzalez and Leslie Garcia from Tijuana /Mexico), is a visual representation of the anthropogenic (human activities) contaminants issued to the Earth’s atmosphere. The interface offers some information filtering and setting options that for sure will come handy on understanding the displayed data.

Atmospheric Pollution is, yet another, private initiative that try to promote information distribution on such a vital issue as contaminant emission to Earth’s atmosphere. The data used on the project comes from several origins in which is included Wikipedia, EDGAR, UNFCC, NASA, ESA and CARMA (reviewed on 2.0 Webmania [PT]).

With an already published (January 3rd) list of the most influential blogs in Europe, Wikio now publishes a list with the 20 most influential blogs in the planet, better yet, a planet that doesn’t include Asia. Nevertheless you can find the crème-de-la-crème on this list of well known and (truly) excellent blogs. I must call you attention for the Spanish blog listed in the 13th place (Microsiervos) and the German blog, Basic Thinking, that got the 18th spot in the list. The 10th placed conquered by the Techcrunch’s French version doesn’t present a big surprise and also very normal is the fact that 17 out of 20 blogs are “Made in USA”.

Wallpapermaker is a free service you can use to produce your very own and personalized wallpapers trough an extremely easy to use interface and without the need of any additional graphical application. You can use several backgrounds, ornaments and hilarious characters like Homer Simpson or David Beckham.

Though interesting enough for anyone to try, Wallpapermaker presents itself shorter than it should. By not permitting users to add their own images or any other object, the service is too restrictive for my personal taste and probably for yours. Still, I insist, interesting enough to give it a try. Compatibility issues with some IE versions may also be in the list of reasons that will transform Wallpapermaker in an even more ephemeral success.
