Hernan Davos, blogger and web designer from Argentine, published the one that is probably the largest personal compilation on Photoshop brushes. It’s almost 800MB of brushes (.iso file) that you get trough eMule, torrent, or MegaUpload (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).

The author also drops a few lines about how to add the brushes to Photoshop and about a super little-app called ABR Viewer, that you can use to preview brushes (.abr) without placing them on their final destination.

There are 70 effects and brushes that you can use to create some of the most terrible and horrible digital art the world as ever seen. They’re bad, they’re ugly but they’re every teenager dream. The list was put together by Photoshop Roadmap and it’s more than worth the visit.

Hero-o-Matic is a project developed by Eduardo Reis that allows you to build the Super-Hero that lives inside you (not literally I hope). The site has a great look, very “comics”, exceptional good-taste and more options than Windows.

There are more than 200 items to be personalized! Clearly inspired on HeroMachine but with a personality of it’s own. The only problem for you English speakers out there is that the site is only available in Portuguese. Anyway, if you really want to try this great app click on the bottom-right link that says “Criar!!!” (In red. You can’t miss it).

Due to a trip plan to an European city where I honestly didn’t knew if the subway was an option on transportation. I came up with a short but useful list of maps (resources) for subways across the world. Hope you find it as useful as I did (will). Some of the maps need a severe update but they’re still good enough for the typical trip planning.

GIMP has already it’s own place between the graphical software users. The exact proof of that is the ever growing list of brushes and plugins exclusively created and designed for GIMP. TechZilo published a very complete list of resources from several origins that make the amazing number of more than 1400 brushes (35 sets).
